How much doess RIB insurance cost?

RIBs come in all kinds of shapes and sizes and at Insure4Boats, we tailor our boat insurance policies to your requirements rather than our customers paying for cover they don’t need. The cost of your rigid inflatable boat insurance premium will depend on a number of different variables; including:

  • The type of cover you opt for
  • The speed (in knots) of your RIB
  • The value of your RIB
  • The age of your boat
  • Your usual mooring location and type
  • Your age, marine experience and marine claims history

What does RIB insurance cover?

We offer two types of RIB insurance:

Third Party Liability

This covers you for damages caused by your boat to someone else’s boat, property or person.

Hull & Machinery & Third Party Liability

This covers your RIB for theft, damage and salvage charges, in addition to the third party liability cover as above.

The types of RIBs we insure

The main reason that rigid inflatable boats are so popular is their versatility. They can be used for anything from fishing or towing to cruising; they usually deal well with lots of different weather and water conditions and, of course, they are light enough to be easily transported via a trailer.

RIBs come in many variations, from those with basic platforms to those with top-end cabins that would put a lot of traditional cruisers to shame. All RIBs with a speed of up to 50 knots are insurable with us, providing you with the essential cover you need and no unnecessary extras.
